Want to get the kids in the kitchen? Why not let them help make these fun Ice Cream Sundae Boats? This idea was inspired by cinnamon and sugar crisps and fried ice cream my kids love at our local Mexican restaurant.
This quick idea only takes 5-10 minutes to make and then its ice cream time.
Preheat the oven to 375.
What you will need:
- 1 box Old El Paso soft flour tortilla (8- Stand & Stuff)
- Granulated Sugar and Cinnamon (mix in a bowl or shaker)
- Butter
To fill the boats:
- Ice Cream
- Toppings
- Caramel Sauce or Chocolate Sauce
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set the Stand and Stuff Tortillas on the parchment. Melt butter and spread the butter on the entire tortilla with a basting brush. Immediately sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar mixture on the tortilla. Bake the tortillas in the oven until crispy (approximately 5-10 minutes).
Once the tortilla shells are cooled scoop your favorite flavored ice cream in the bowl and let each person add their own toppings.
